UCLA Bruins head coach Jim Mora Jr. started his weekly press conference with a reflection about Nick Pasquale, the wide receiver who was tragically killed on Sunday. About a minute into his reflection, a media technician answered his phone and interrupted the coach.
Mora Jr. went off on the technician, and rightfully so. In a regular press conference, it MIGHT be allowed to quietly answer your phone and leave the room to continue the conversation. But in a situation like this, I have no sympathy for the technician.
Mora Jr. stormed off in disgust, but later continued the press conference.
